The Leadership Team

Matt Taylor, Senior Pastor
imageMatt is a native of Charleston, SC and grew up with sand between his toes. He is married to Jennifer, and they are both graduates of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (the only sermons Jen writes for Matt are the good ones). They have two precious children, Emma and Noah. Matt has been in the ministry since he was eighteen and the Pastor of the First Baptist Church since August of ‘06. His hobbies are working out at a local fitness club, eating, football, politics, and spending time with family and friends. If Matt were not a pastor he would want to be either the chaplain for the Pittsburgh Steelers or the speechwriter for GW.

Randy Sproat, Pastor to Students
imageBorn on a farm in central Missouri, this young man has been through several adventures in his lifetime.  An accomplished cake decorator in 4-H, saxophone player in his high school jazz band, President of his FFA chapter, spent a few years in Iowa as a Cyclone, student-taught inner-city KC, fried donuts before class each morning, hemmed jeans after class, found his first job at school with 75 students K-8, lived in Chicago for a few summers cheering for the Cubs, and married a girl from a town he never thought he would ever come to call home.  A plethora of moments that have taken him full circle to his first passion; sharing Jesus with students.

Trisha Nail, Children’s/Preschool Director
imageTrisha is a native of Lebanon and a life long member of FBC Lebanon.  She loves her family!  Her son Kaleb is in the first grade, and her daughter Taylor is in pre-school.  Her husband Ben is a math teacher at Lebanon High School.  Trisha attended Southwest Baptist University and received her under-Graduate and Graduate degrees in Education.  Before having children, Trisha was a math teacher at the Lebanon Jr. High for six years. She loves to read, spend time at the lake, exercise, and enjoy quality time with friends and family.  Trisha and her family love to cheer on the Chiefs, the Cardinals, Mizzou, and her Alma Mater, the Lebanon YellowJackets!  Trisha has been our Children’s Director since March of 2011.  If Trisha’s life were made in to a movie, Reese Witherspoon would play her.
